Meet Janet

Janet Dunnington, the owner and president of the company that bears her name, receives effusive praise from the people and groups she has worked with. From Europe and Russia to California and Vermont, Janet travels the world to plan and coordinate extraordinary events and elegant weddings. Not only does she search the world for exotic and memorable locations, she is also one of only16 wedding professionals worldwide who hold the distinction of Master Bridal Consultant.

Before launching her destination weddings and events Company in 1992, she had the enviable position of chef and party planner on private yachts sailing around the world. Janet not only designed menus, coordinated provisioning and planned shore events for the owners and guests; she also earned a captain's license to pilot 100-ton vessels 100 miles offshore.

Hearst Corporation hired Janet as their VIP America's Cup Program Director during the 1983 cup races held in Newport, RI. She was responsible for scheduling air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, chartering luxury yachts for race viewing and coordinating both media and private events for the publishing company's VIPs.

Janet also spent much of her career in the hospitality industry.  She started and managed a fine dining restaurant in New England for several years and then took on a decade-long position of Food & Beverage Director for a 5-star resort.
